📹 Live: Capacity Estimation + Caching Levels
In our live session today, we discussed 2 important topics for System Design Interviews.
- Capacity Estimation: We went over tips and tricks to do Capacity Estimations during interviews. We also went over when you don't need to do capacity estimations. Then, we estimated three things for a Youtube-like site:
- Levels of Caching: we went over the different kinds of caching in a web application. Often for interviews, we focus only on distributed caches like Redis. However, a lot of caching goes on outside of this. We discussed these different levels.
